Club Directors: Tom & Linda Brent

Tom Brent is the Clubs' Founding Father. Tom use to live in the Gaithersburg, MD and played with the Germantown Peggers for quite a few years. The story goes that he met an old sweetheart from the past and this time he didn't let her slip through his fingers! Well, Tom and Linda now live in Crofton, MD - some 48 miles from where the Germantown Peggers play. With rush hour traffic Tom was not always able to make it on Cribbage night. Now, everyone knows that Tom loves his cribbage. So he set out to convert his new wife, Linda, by teaching her how to play - he even signed her up as a an ACC member and we've noticed that Tom doesn't win all the cribbage games anymore! In January of 2000, Tom & Linda decided to form a club where people can get together to play cribbage for fun and for some friendly competition. Their goal is to build the club up to the level of 40 or more active members. In less than 7 months they have seen the club grow to just over 20 members. Club Information Meets every Monday night throughout the year (6:45pm to 9:30pm). We play 9 fun filled games in a friendly and competitive atmosphere. $10 entry fee for weekly cash prizes (top finishers) and club expenses. Weekly cash bonus prizes. Special club prizes for: 29 hand, 28 hand and a grand slam (winner of all 9 games). Up-To-Date tracking of each weeks activity, including Year-To-Date standings. Results of each weeks play are reported to the ACC (American Cribbage Congress). Club placements, (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th), are determined by the following: Total points earned ( 2 for win, 3 if a skunk ) Total number of games won during tournament Total net spread (an accumulated amount that each game is won or lost by) Club play follows the Official Tournament Rules established by the ACC Thinking about becoming a member?
